A Look Closer - L’Oréal Paris
Burn survivors are often seen for their scars before they are seen for who they are. A Look Closer challenges that perspective by telling a burn survivor’s story through the eyes of her younger sister—someone who sees her humor, strength, accomplishments, and everything that makes her who she is. Rooted in L’Oréal’s “I’m Worth It,” the campaign reframes beauty as self-expression rather than concealment, reminding us that there’s always more than what you see.

“When people meet my sister, I know what they notice first.
But that's not what I see.
I see the person who taught me how to do my makeup…
even though she still doesn't trust me to do hers.
The person who calls me from the top of a mountain just to prove she made it.
The person who became a doctor and somehow still answers my calls during a twelve-hour shift.
Yeah, something happened to my sister.
But that's one part of her story.
She's funny. She's stubborn. She's brilliant. She's my best friend.
When I look at her, I don't just see what she's survived.
I see her.
And I hope you do too.”
End visually on the two sisters laughing together:
